Stadt Moers (Country) Park, Lancashire - The Pond - Tushingham

Tushingham Metallic Brickworks stood on this quadrant from 1898 to 1970, this pond was one of two pits where clay for the manufacture of bricks was extracted. It is now A popular fishing haunt for anglers and also for those interested in bird watching.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

How times have changed this is now a public footpath by the main entrance to the park in Pottery lane, Whiston, Above is Stephenson's Liverpool to Manchester railway..
