Garden Works 2022 - 03

In this short update, I have added a railway buffer as a stool in the garden, made changes to the hood that covers the trough light and mister and included some photographs of the garden at night.

THE BUFFER

My new garden stool, a BR wagon buffer from the 1960s, bought for me as a present. I needed to tidy up this section and decided that it would be an ideal spot for it.

Tidying up the corner.

A couple of coats of red paint to enhance it.

 That looks better.

  Across the garden.

As you can see I still have some ongoing work on the actual garden.

I think this looks a bit better.

 THE TROUGH HOOD

I thought that trough light and misters would be better with a hood.  This is a first temporary attempt to give me an idea.  Very basic, a piece of aluminium with 6 legs

Whilst it's not much it gives just the effect that I wanted off the light and misters.

So simple, the whole thing covered with old rough wood, just the job.

I am not sure if I am going to leave it as it is or put something on the top, so for the time being some garden ornaments that i had .

 THE GARDEN LIGHTS

I particularly like this shot of the bridge.

In the two photographs below I have put some spare solar lights that are spare on the track in the bridge just to see the effect.

 SURPRISE

As mentioned in earlier posts and is easily noticed I don't have fish in the pond now, I gave them to a friend.  I am hoping to attract wildlife back to the pond but I wasn't expecting this.
