Making The Truss Bridge
If you have read the article The Garden Canal in this section you will know that we had put a river in the garden. This meant that the track would cross the river near the base of the waterfall so a bridge was needed.
This is a pictorial account of how we made the the Truss Bridge.
Multi Train System Control
After laying the track and using a simple analogue controls system we decided to change to an LGB Multi Train System (MTS). So that we could run with full control more than one loco at once including the points (turnouts). To do this we had to install control chips in the locos that didn’t already have them fitted, this also gave us the added control through the system of steam, lights and sound through the chips.
The Garden Canal
After completion of phase 1 of laying the track for the garden railway we decided to add a river with running water.
